What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, I will give you a few project/class options. I want this to be enjoyable for you, so I'm going to let you decide what you want to learn. I will teach anything from sewing 101 to doing a Sip and Sew with your closest friends.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been sewing and quilting since I was 12.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I typically charge $30, plus supplies, a hour if I come to you, $25 a hour if you come to me. Large group prices available.
How did you get started teaching?
I wanted to blend my love of sewing, with building relationships.
What types of students have you worked with?
Children to seniors.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure they are willing to teach you what you want to learn, not what they want to teach. Make sure they are patient and want to have fun!!
