T Kurtz Fine Art Pastels

I am a pastel artist who has been teaching drawing and painting with dry pastels since 2019. I started teaching with the Spokane Art School when I was awarded a residency there. I help students understand the joy of the medium and work with beginners and intermediate. Pastels are a fabulous medium, using layering techniques; you create warm and vibrant images ranging from landscapes to some figurative work and animal portraits. Students tell me that I am supportive and friendly. I help people enjoy the medium and learn to love working with pastels.
