Nancy Rost Piano Teaching Studio, based in Madison, Wisconsin, offers one-to-one lessons for adults and children. Individual lesson plans may include reading, improvisation, composition, songwriting and more. I teach in students' homes in the Madison area as well as online.

I have been teaching piano lessons for 35 years to students of all ages. I would describe myself as a balance between flexibility, using a traditional teaching approach, as well as having high standards and expectations. I will do my best to guide you on the path that's right for your learning, whether as a beginner, young or old, as an advanced pianist, or as a recreational pianist.

I have been providing piano lessons since 2003. I have an undergraduate degree in music. I have three CDs on the market which have received excellent reviews. I treat every student as an individual and use a customized agenda. I relate well to young minds. I strive to make lesson time pleasant and enjoyable. My prime objective is to provide students with skills that they can enjoy for a lifetime. I enjoy performing improvisations and have a structured approach to teach improv.
