South Mountain School of Horsemanship is a relaxed, western riding lesson facility. We do not stress showing, but rather work towards understanding the fundamentals of great horsemanship. At South Mountain Horsemanship we welcome ALL skill levels! SMSH is an ADULT ONLY riding school.
South Mountain School of Horsemanship aims to create well-balanced and confident riders. We do not stress showing and competition, but rather focus on learning how to develop strong relationships and clear communication with all horses, no matter each rider's ultimate equine goals.

Cassandra is truly a one-of-a-kind instructor, and her horses are all nice and gentle as they come. Her ability to teach even the most advanced concepts to newer riders is incredible. Everything is laid out in a way that makes learning both easily digestible and extremely FUN. I learned more from Cassandra in just a couple of sessions than I did over many years at other barns. I laughed a lot more, too. Groups are small, so I get her individual attention whenever I need it, but also the freedom to watch others and try things on my own. Plus, Cassandra takes the new techniques we learn and rolls them into games! We have so much fun! If you want to learn more about horses, and you want to REALLY learn what it takes to ride them well, you have to come to South Mountain School of Horsemanship. If you try it, you wont ever go back.
