About

Passion for the individual. It not about me, never about me. The teacher is a guide to assist others in finding out what works for them, in their bodies. I use serveral modalities to assit my students towards finding BALANCE. Based off the Ancients understanding that the body has an inate ability to heal itself, in body, mind and spirit. I work with the subtle energies within the student to relax the body and mind and support this self healing. It is the pillar of Taoistic study known as the Tao of Self Healing. As a certified practitioner, I also use Shiatsu Massage Therapy (accupressure), which is based on the same principles of accupuncture but without the needles. I am a certified Hatha Yoga instructor and use asana as well to support the individuals health and wellness. Finally, I am schooled many healthy culinary disciplines, from Macrobiotics, Chinese Five Element, Five Taste, vegan to raw cooking styles. I provide a truly personalized and holistic approach to serving my clients. I look forward to serving you! Although I've been in practise in the Central Pennsylvania Area for 25 years, I just recently relocated here in the Phoenix, AZ area. Currently I instruct Yoga classes in Avondale, Parisdise Valley, Old Town Scottsdale and Tempe. I am a 1992 Graduate of the Pennsylvania School of Shiatsu, Yoga Alliance Certified and over 500 hour trained in the Taoist pillars of Revitalization (self-healing) and Balanced Diet (Five Taste Theory)

The results I see in the clients as they learn to discover the power within themselves.

I've been in the martial arts from the age of 11.  I studied in the discipline of Kung Fu and the Taoist healing arts.  In college I tutored for several years, taught Latin in a private school and have been conducting workshops and giving speaches for the last 20 years.

Students who have come to a place where quality of life is the desired goal.  We cannot always  control outcomes in our life, our jobs, family, financial status, but we can learn to be content, in the moment, and secure in ourselves.

Serveral months ago I had the opportunity to work an a gym setting, way outside the studio format and a totally different clientele.  It was a good "stretch" for me personally, and the results and appreciation I recieved for that group of people taught me a lot about sharing what you know and have to offer from the heart and you just never know who will be blessed.

Follow your gut!  Then really pay attention to how they seek to discover who you are and what you want to achieve.  Then make sure they can provide the whole "ball of wax".  Don't let anyone tell you, you need to buy product from them, especially nutritional items or equipment. They should have a through knowledge of physiology, anatomy, body mechanics and dietary knowledge.  Make sure they know how to instruct you in the important of breathing and have specific techniques to share with you.

Am I will to make no less than a 21 day commitment to working with this individual?

Will I, once I am certain this is the individual I wish to work with, listen to what the individual is professionally asking me to do.  Exercising, breathing and eating as recommended.

Do I really want to get healthy?  I have found a whole lot of folks say they want to get health, feel better, be happy.  But, in reality, they are not willing to put the work in and I'm not sure they really do.
