Hi my name is Khalil Kennedy and I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Performance Enhancemnet Specialist. I have been Certified for 2 years and also have an abundance of experience with various sports such as football, track, and basketball.Whether it be student athletes looking to improve their performance and earn a schoalrship or the average joe looking to improve their general fitness and health. My passion stems from helping people not only achieve their goals but line them up for self sustaiable success for their future. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
start with a phone call to get to know you and get a brief outline of your goals. Then we will setup a consultaion for you to dive deeper into your goals and how we will tackle them together to achieve them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am Certified Personal Trainer Through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and Perfomance Enhancement Specialist
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I use a 3,6,or 12, program commitment with a price range that varies anywhere between $500-$1200 depending on the type of training and frequency that will be covered in greater detail during the consultation.
How did you get started teaching?
After Graduating high schoocl in 2012 I went into coaching youth football for two years along with playing college football. I developed a passion for personal training through that and seeing how politics influence the sporting world i wanted to assist and inpsire not just athletes but anybody who has goals or ambitions that they were told they could not accomplish.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a variety of students from ages 10-60 and at various weights as well that can range from 100 pounds to 300 pounds. The experience of them varied as well some being new to fitness to seasoned athletes.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Watching one of my current clients go from barely being able to touch a basketball rim to now dunking after 3 months training with me and how excited he was to accomplish it after just turning 14.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Do your research on their certifications and qualifications to make sure they correspond to your fitness or health goals.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What needs would they consider a priority to accomplish first. Are they commited on at least a 8 on a scale of 1-10 to making a change.
Are they willing to invest in themselves to accomplish their needs.
