I learned to sew when I was 9 years old. My grandmother was a professional seamstress and taught me the value of well crafted and unique clothing. I designed my first gown when I was 17 and have been designing ever since. I have created costumes, gowns, comfort wear and accessories. I love the process from a concept to the actualization of a design. I have taught fashion design and development for 20 years and have worked in the apparel industry for 30. Another passion is textiles! From the fiber to the made fabric is an incredible journey and I have done it all. I can assist you in your goals of developing skills and completing your projects...

I have a strong passion for art and a background in childcare. My favorite mediums are pencil drawing and watercolor. I can provide lessons for any age needed in drawing as well as watercolor and acrylic painting. I am currently working towards becoming a children's author and illustrator and would love the privilege to get more experience teaching children. Can't wait to get making art with you!
