Cindy Feltman Angulo, a native Hoosier and ASU graduate student who has always been into fitness from an early age. She overcame being overweight & insecure in childhood to become one of America's most experienced professional trainers and athletes today with more than 20 national certifications! She has been a personal trainer and group exercise instructor for more than 25 years, and worked extensively in Arizona’s most exclusive health clubs, the Villages Health and Spa. When she is not working, you can find her exploring new adventures with her kids or coaching Club Volleyball.

Cindy’s story is one of resilience and courage. She found the strength and knowledge to overcome her obesity and multiple overuse injuries along the way, even when it seemed like she wouldn't be able too--her dedication paid off with an increased passion for fitness that led Cindy down a path towards winning various bodybuilding and fitness competitions at all levels including national ones! She even overcame a low back injury and surgery which led to her creation of the FX BOOM fitness System. Traditional body building routines using DBs and machine along with various group exercise formats such as step, boxing, bootcamp, and CrossFit led Cindy to a thinner body, but an very unbalanced body with overuse injuries and daily pain. Now considering she is educated, what must it be like for those that are not educated??? She saw an opportunity to create a corrective core training system that activates muscles that people do not realize they are missing while they do some of the traditional and popular training methods today. Today Cindy is in the “best shape of her Life” and is able to inspire and teach others to do the same.

Cindy also has developed a FX BOOM Fitness Rig that can be set up in a gym, an office, or even your home in the garage, bedroom, or porch area. The FX BOOM Fitness Rig is designed to provide users with a safe and secure training environment that can be customized to their specific needs. The rig is made from a sturdy steel construction and features various attachment points to vary height and location of attachment needed in respect to the body’s orientation to accommodate different training modalities.     Before meeting and working with Cindy, I was in chronic pain. I had lower back and hip pain that made standing and sitting for a long period of time impossible . After going to Cindy’s class consistently , I am proud to say I no longer experience pain. Cindy’s low impact exercises are fun and effective ! She listens and adapts to my body, and I cannot thank her enough. My pain went again and I started building strength again. My physical therapist was impressed. I felt good enough that I even stopped going to physical therapy because I get more out of Cindy’s sessions. I am so glad I committed to my health and to Cindy.

    Frequently asked questions

    Volleyball student

    Meeting and first 15 min to determine level of knowledge and skill, and determining goals and timeline. Starting with hand position and how to pass with a wall so practice can be done on own to speed the process of learning. Moving into setting and base underhand serve mechanics.

    If more advanced, I will determine mechanic issues in any of the major skills such as passing, setting, serving, blocking, or hitting. 

    Over 15 National training certifications in health and fitness, and CSCS which prepped me to work with pro athletes and a BS from ASU in Exercise science. I currently Jrs Volleyball coach at VICTORIUM in North scottsdale and I am a full time trainer ar the DC Ranch Village Health Club and Spa in DC Ranch. I also was coached by a coach who is in the volleyball hall of fame, And I have worked with various college and pro volleyball players. I have been actively coaching children in volleyball for over 6 years now winning championships and instilling a positive experience.

    Depends on location and time needed. Ranges $20-80 per session if group or solo and 30-60 min. 

    I had a daughter who wanted to play and I started by coaching her team. I had a childhood background playing as an elite level player in Indiana. When I started coaching, I started winning and my team grew into multiple teams because of my coaching style and effectiveness.

    From first time volleyball 6 year olds to pro volleyball and collegiate level players. I tend to do best in the beginner to intermediate ranges in base skill development and foundation building (my training background kicks in) while instilling a positive volleyball experience that is serious yet fun. Older players I'm best at body mechanic analysis for injury prevention or performance enhancement such as jump training and upper body power.
