About
I work hard to ensure every single one of my students improves. I believe incorporating solid fundamental mechanics with a sound mental approach leads to consistently good play and enjoyment of the game. All good players have a game plan that they believe in. That gives them confidence in the most pressure-packed situation. Not everybody can swing the club like Rory McIlroy, but everyone can understand what they need to do to play their best golf, and create a plan to make the necessary improvements. To help my students reach their full potential, I use recognized game improvement programs and modern technology. I make ongoing education, such as TPI, a priority in my career. I also take advantage of new technologies such as TrackMan, Boditrak and Video analysis to provide feedback that is crucial to the learning process. These same tools allow me to correctly identify flaws and prioritize improvements. I would love the opportunity to help you find your best swing.
I love empoweing my students to achieve what they thought was impossible and seeing the happiness that it brings to their life.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start by asking students about their golf, sports, and personal backgrounds. I ask the student about their golf goals, so I can create a training program that is customized to their needs. I ask all students about injury history, and screen them for physical ability, so I can teach every student a swing that will work for them. Depending on what the student's goals are we begin evaluating the skills that the student wants to improve i.e., Video, TrackMan, and Boditrak analysis.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a PGA member, and a TPI Level 3 Golf teacher. I have over 10 years of experience teaching, and I have played competitively for 25 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Private lessons are $110/hr.
You can buy 4 lessons for $360, or 12 for $840, but to maintain the discounted price all lessons must be used within 6 months of the first lesson.
A second student can attend at the cost of $20 per lesson
How did you get started teaching?
After playing competetively for over 10 years I joined the PGA Apprenticeship Program, and apprenticed under Gloria Armstrong, a legendary bay area instructor who taught multiple LPGA Tour players.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have, and currently, work with all types of students. I work with juniors, collegiate players, pros, seniors, ladies, and beginners.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure that you hire someone that is going to help you reach your personal goals. You should find a teacher that will teach to your physical ability, and is focused on helping you play better golf, not teaching you how to swing like someone else.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Do you understand how to screen for physical ability, and create a plan specifically for each student?
Do you ever take students onto the golf course?
Do you have the facilities I need? (short game area/full length driving range/grass driving range/golf course access)
What is your teaching philosophy?
