Glenna A. says, "Debbie has been my art teacher for nearly two years and was my son’s art teacher for many years. She is an extremely talented artist and exceptionally engaging art teacher. She is able to work with multiple mediums and materials and she is both flexible in terms of meeting students where they are at and in terms of what they are interested in doing/producing while at the same time providing enough guidance and structure to ensure that students actually learn. She is also gifted at teaching all ages from children to teens to adults. Her style is creative, open, and caring but also serious and well grounded in years of artistic experience and training. I always look forward to my lessons with her." Read more

Cheryl B. says, "Marshal has been very inspiring and very adaptive to my wishes. He didn't keep me entrenched in music theory for months as some teachers do. Instead, I learned theory while learning to play music, which was much more enjoyable and motivating. If I wanted to play a specific song, he would locate an arrangement that was not too challenging for my skill level. Once I could play the piece, he would enhance the arrangement by adding or changing some notes and teaching me how to do that. The results have been wonderful. I have several pieces that I really enjoy playing. And that was my goal when we started-- to play the piano for my own enjoyment. FYI, I am 77 years old and look forward to my lessons with Marshal every week. Playing the piano keeps my mind sharp and my fingers nimble. I highly recommend Marshal for anyone who has the desire to learn to play the piano." Read more

Learning new techniques and experimenting with audio has always been a passion for me. Setting a new bar for expectations of the audio world is not a challenge, it is a part of life I pursuit everyday. My time is invested in pristine audio equipment and exploring the possibilities of music. I studied audio produciton at Saint Mary's College of CA and then continued to further my education through workshops and specialty classes. Now I am an instructor for the Recording Connection based in Los Angeles. I teach students of all levels of skill at my studio in Oakland, CA. Anne P. says, "Jack is brilliant! Working through a song that I loved, we identified what I knew, what I wanted to know, and what I didn't even know I wanted to know. I wanted motivation to keep working on music and someone with a LOT of knowledge to teach me and how I could grow and get better. Jack provided that and I appreciate his teaching style and enthusiasm. I would recommend to any student who wants to learn not just about piano but about what makes great music beautiful and great musicians inspirational. " Read more

Sarah C. says, "Bryan started teaching my son guitar, which my son didn't really pick up on too well. He showed an interest in piano, so Bryan transitioned him to piano lessons and my son did, and still does, really well with piano. We credit Bryan with my son's interest and skill in playing the piano. Also, before he left the music school where he was teaching my son, Bryan took great care to make sure my son was matched with another instructor. My son continues to play piano and is doing very well! " Read more

I am an adult student taking piano lessons from Marshal. I have found him to be a great teacher who genuinely understands teaching at its core. He does not simply hand you a textbook and tell you to start on page one as if you are a machine awaiting programming. He instead gauged my current skill level and based off of that determined what to focus on or even to postpone an idea if it wasn't relevant/helping at that moment. If you laid out every lesson I have done with him the focus might seem scattered but I know firsthand it's exactly what I needed at the time and my skill progression has felt nothing but smooth and natural through his teachings.

My daughter took guitar and piano lessons with Brian. We were both very pleased with the lessons. My daughter which was 7 at the time switched from guitar to piano. He made the transition easy for her and was extremely patient while she made up her mind on what she wanted to do. I was impressed on how much she learned and she continues to take lessons. He truly sparked that interest and motivated her through every lesson.

My 7 year old son started taking piano lessons with Joey this summer. He is very knowledgable, flexible, my son loves taking lessons with him and is learning a lot. The setup is great and we have been able to have virtual piano lessons during the pandemic. He also provides recordings of each lesson. Highly recommend!

My daughter is very inspired by Rana! She's more of the shy, quiet type and not the first to jump on the stage. Rana brought out the best in her with just the right balance of fun, artistry, and encouragement. She gained confidence, grew her musical theater skills, and above all, had the time of her life.
