I've taken a couple of singing lessons from Stella and one guitar lesson from Jacob. The teachers here are top-notch and are clearly knowledgeable and passionate about their craft.
In just two lessons, Stella has taught me a lot about proper singing technique and has even helped me diagnose some bad habits that were holding me back. It's also just fun and a great creative outlet to be able to belt out a song as loud as you want. :)
Jacob is an incredible teacher. Just listening to him speak, you can tell that he has a huge amount of knowledge about guitar and a lot of experience conveying it to students. I learned a lot in our first lesson, and Jacob was even able to explain the art of improvising in a refreshing and evocative way. He also assigns effective and motivating homework.
Before visiting ModernTone Studios, I had spent a long time spinning my wheels, trying to improve my musicianship on my own and never getting very far.
