We meet and tour the barn, introducing you to the herd and giving you a chance to relax. While talking about your goals, we tack up your horse together and then go for an easy walk around the neighborhood. Then, an overall evaluation of your riding abilities, just to give us both an idea of your future with us. End on a happy note... and a future booked lesson date!
$150 for an evening lesson and trail ride combo
$90 for a 90 minute lesson
Davee had the dream of being an instructor since she was a teenager, and has dedicated her entire life to the sport and art of horseback riding.
A lot of people come to Good Pony Inc so that they will have a safe, supportive environment to overcome their fears. Since our barn does not concentrate on showing, we are free to work with our students at a leisurely pace with no pressure to perform.
Any day with the horses is perfect. Even if you don't have the best ride... it's better to be there than stuck at home!
If a teacher makes you feel bad or stupid or insults you - Fire Them. You are the client, paying to learn... you should never be made to feel badly for asking questions or making mistakes. If you don't understand something, a teacher's job is to explain it better... not to make you feel incapable.
A good question would be "Am I willing to be patient with myself while learning?" So many people suffer from frustration while learning a new sport/hobby and they forget that the journey of learning is an adventure. Take it easy on yourself, commit to being a newbie.. and you will learn faster!
