I have been playing golf for 30 years now. Have played golf tournaments in India and the US. I have been a rules official and tournament organizer for many events. I recently won an Open tournament.
I have taught golf to over 60 students, in the bay area ranging from beginners to highly advanced golfers. I have taught kids from age 5 to adults and seniors as well.
For very new students I help them buy the right equipment and show them the basic rules. For intermediate students I help the correct there swing and putting stroke to increase distance and accuracy. I also help students with golf course management, reading greens etc.
We use very simple uncomplicated methodology. We do not completely change your swing, as this will take a long time and too much effort for our students, unless they really want to do so. We also show you proper golf etiquette to make it fun to play golf with others.
Nothing gives me more satisfaction than when I see my students get better and are happy. It gives me great pleasure to see that I have actually helped someone enjoy something they love even more because of me.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Depending on the level of the student:
Beginners: I will teach them all the basics. Technique, rules, etiquette, equipment information, golf course information, handicap system etc.
Mid level: I will teach them to increase distance, improve their short game and other smaller details which will help them lower their handiacaps.
Advanced level: Course management, tips to improve mental and psychological skills required to further improve your game.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have played the game for 30 years. I have been teaching for 10 years now. For me being successful means that my students learn to play and enjoy the game and play it to the best of theire abilities. Better scores and lower handicaps will follow automatically.

$50 to a $100 per hour. I also offer packages.
