What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Complete physical screening and assessment to identify any limitations in mobility/range of motion pertinent to the golf swing.
Builf, train then trust the golf swing in order to develop basic fundamentals through advanced swing and short game techniques.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Stay open minded and sell out a qualified pro who will assess your physical limitations to not waste time in trying to teach his/her method. The instructor should either work around limitations or get with a medical staff or trainer who also understand the movements of the swing to increase mobility/stability in the entire body.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Realistic goals with respect to the amount of time willing to practice drills necessary to either change old habits or create new ones.
