As an art teacher, I use what students already know to help inspire confidence and fun, using th basic shapes, alphabet, and numbers to help bridge concepts to skills. I have more than 50 years of experience as a painter and 44 years of teaching Painting and Drawing students,of all levels from Freshman to Graduate students ,at a the University of Kansas. I also have a strong background in Art history. I achieved the rank of Full Professor before the age of 40 and that is a strong testament to the strength and quality of my teaching expertise.
