I enjoy inspiring creativity in any method I teach. I have equipped my studio in the historic Gaslamp District to be a creative haven for students and a restul colorful place to be! I have taught everything from drawing and painting to mixed media and collage. My 23 year career also includes the creation and development of ColorIQ which is a professional certification program for architectural color consultants, designers and architects. As an art teacher, I use what students already know to help inspire confidence and fun, using th basic shapes, alphabet, and numbers to help bridge concepts to skills. I have taught art parties as well. I love working with both adults and children. As a professional academic tutor, I have worked with students K-7th grade on achieving thier academic goals. I work part time as a Sub teacher for SD Unified. I also work as a sub for local English as a Second Language (ESL) schools in SD.
