About
Founded in 1988 in Compton, California, Compton Jr Posse Youth Equestrian Program has been "Keeping Kids ON Horses and OFF the Streets". It is a non-profit organization that offers year-round leadership programs using equine science and horse-related activities to inspire at-risk youth. The program provides tools, resources, and skills to help these young individuals reach their personal, academic, and career goals. Their award-winning, unique program emphasizes public speaking and leadership skills. They have an established inner city equestrian team and have been recognized by the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness for their efforts.
