Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Fundamentals, fundamentals, and more fundamentals. Sound boring right? 99% of golfers I observe on the golf course or driving range lack the basic fundamentals and their incosistant swing and ball flight is the result. If you build your swing on a weak foundation it will never be solid or consistent.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken hundreds of lessons from different instructors and studied different golf approaches and theories ( Rotaryswing, Hank Haney Pro, Ignition Golf ). I have spent countles hours studying books, videos, and manuals of the golf swing. Based on the idea that there's no such thing as one size fits all swing, it is important to be familiar with different teaching and swing philosophies.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$40 per lesson. Lesson times vary depending on the students comprehension of the material.
How did you get started teaching?
After taking hundreds of lessons, I became frustrated and confused. Most instructors did not provide a clear answer of why I hit bad shots. They offered quick patches that were temporary and inefficient on long term basis. I spent a lot of years studying golf instructional manuals, books, films, programs, and theories until I found the answer to my question of "WHY?" These answers I found are based on biomechanics of the golf swing helped my game improve drastically. I started sharing my training program with friends. Now I share this information with who ever is ready to commit to a different approach to learning the game of golf.
What types of students have you worked with?
Beginers to intermediate.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you ask the right questions.
