About
Shoestring Farm provides a low key stable environment for the young and adult rider learning to tack up horses, ride equitation and jumping and general horse maintenance. Those who want to learn are welcome to work with my small group of horse individuals. Those who wish to compete we can work with well too.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We begin with the process of grooming a horse, learning how to massage the skin as you ready the horse. We teach hoof care and parts of the saddle and bridle and how they work on the horse. We begin with basics, mounting safely, walking and a little trotting. Generally within a few months to a couple of years riders learn more equitation skills regarding jumping and hacking on the trail, upper level Dressage movements, etc.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 40 years riding experience which include multiple California State Championships in Horse Mastership as well as numerous local and National Championships in Hunter/Jumper Shows with United States Equestrian Federation.

How did you get started teaching?
Business was willed to me by a former instructor and owner of Shoestring Farm.
What types of students have you worked with?
i work with beginning children and adults, competing young riders and Pony Ckub competitors. I also work with LowerLevel Dressage enthusiasts.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Students should have goals and expectations of some work invoked with riding.
