I have been a PGA Member and Golf Instructor for over 20 years and work with all ages and skill levels.  Lessons are given at the beautiful, ocean view, private instruction center at Encinitas Ranch Golf Course.  I previous taught at the world renowned Torrey Pines Golf Course, and the beautiful Sycuan Golf Resort before that.  I started playing as a junior and had a very successful junior competitve career, was the only girl on the La Jolla High School Golf team, and then played on the UCLA Women's Golf Team.

My Junior Program is year round, and offers private lessons, semi-private and small groups, Summer Vacation and other year round Holiday Camps.  Camps are half or full day and offer a great week packed with instruction and other fun golf activities including the "Camp Championship" on Friday.

My Women's Instruction program offers a comfortable and encouraging environment to introduce the game of golf to beginners as well as professional instruction for all skill levels. Other programs include Couples, Special Groups and Occasions, Fitness, On Course Playing Lessons and More!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

When introducing the game to a new client, I welcome any questions starting with the basics of how the game is played, some rules and basic guidelines, a review of golf equipment and it's uses, and then the foundation of golf swing mechanics.  I always make sure my clients are comfortable and never feel overwhelmed with too much information!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

After a very instensive junior golf career in San Diego, playing on the team at La Jolla High School and then UCLA, my life's focus has always been on golf.  I am a PGA Class A Instuctor and became a PGA member under the guidance of many of the leaders of the PGA, including the then President of the PGA of America and now CEO of the Southern California PGA.  PGA Membership is obtained after training, education and testing in all areas of the golf industry, from business management, golf course architecture, design and maintenance, golf swing physics and bio-mechanics, equipment testing, design, performance and manufacturing, and much more!  My focus and continuing education is on the latest and proven golf swing mechanics and performance, and developing and offering the latest in instruction, training and client success!

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Your instruciton will always begin with an extensive interview to review your background and experience, your ideas and hopes for your lessons, and of course developing and committing to your instruction plan and program to ensure your success.  My passion is to make sure that my clients acheive whatever their goals are, with the biggest priority of sharing the game of golf, and supporting new and lifelong players.

How did you get started teaching?

After a successful golf team experience and graduating from UCLA, I turned to evaluate a career in the sport.  As I progressed through the PGA Apprenticeship program and exposure to all areas of the golf business and industry, I knew that my passion was to share the game and teach others how to play.  It givews me great pleasure to teach and encourage new as well as experienced players, and have built a great instruction program that offers something for everyone!

What types of students have you worked with?

I like to say I can teach players from the ages of 3 to 93! I have pee wee programs, including through YMCA's, and have conducted many instruction programs at Senior Centers, and have taught every age and skill level in between!

Some other specialties are Women's and Couple's programs, which, as a female golf professional, have been very encouraging and successful.  My Junior program is year round and very dynamic with lessons, camps and clinics.

I also have a 'Golf on the Go' program where I will go to your special event, and have greatly enhanced corporate outings, client and employee appreciation events and health fairs as well as quick swing tip booths at golf festivals, PGA and LPGA events.
