Danielle M. says, "Coach Enochson has been one of the most amazing coaches my son has ever had. In the first lesson I could see a big change in his swing, after the first few lessons he hit his first out the park homerun. This Coach not only loves the game but loves teaching the game to kids. You lights up when they do, he celebrates the wins and coaches through the struggles! I’m so grateful to have him as my sons coach. " Read more

With 10 years of professional playing experience and over 7,000 hours coaching 300+ hitters, I understand what players truly need to succeed — not just in practice, but in real game situations. I help baseball and softball hitters build confidence, focus, and a clear approach at the plate so their swing shows up when it matters most. My training goes beyond mechanics and teaches players how to think, compete, and adjust in the box. What makes my coaching different? I build confident, clutch hitters by focusing on mindset, focus, and approach—not just mechanics. The swing matters. The mind matters more. While many instructors focus only on ...

My name is Benjamin Sumner and I played baseball from Jr. High all the way through college where I won two Big Sky conference championships with Weber State University. As a pitcher I learned strategies such as the catchers call list. I coached as a pitching coach for kids aged 14-17 who were preparing for college recruiting as well as the MLB draft. I have over 20 years of coaching and can teach special skills such as throwing a slider, curveball, circle change-up as well as a two-seam or four-seam fastball. I work well with kids of any age and enjoy having fun doing so. Work hard play hard is my motto.

My service stands out because I make sure the player is having fun, smiling, and enjoying the process of putting in some extra time on their skill set to become better and understand more of what they want out of the training. I really enjoy seeing the player enjoy themselves!!! The thing is to get better of course but seeing a client overcome a challenge or obstacle is just exhilarating. I'm all about the youth and my way to helping them become better people is through Baseball!!!...

Your Baseball Training questions, answered

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Lessons.com.

How much do private baseball lessons cost?

Private baseball lessons cost $50 to $75 per 30-minute lesson and $80 to $140 per 1-hour lesson. The price depends on your location, the instructor's experience and reputation, the student's age, and whether the lesson includes extras like a video analysis of the player's performance.

Many coaches offer lower prices per lesson if you purchase a package that includes 6 or 10 lessons. The average package prices are:

  • 6 pack of 30-minute lessons: $270 – $420
  • 6 pack of 1-hour lessons: $450 – $720
  • 10 pack of 30-minute lessons: $400 – $600
  • 10 pack of 1-hour lessons: $700 – $1,100

Are private baseball lessons worth it?

Private baseball lessons may be worth it if your child currently plays the sport, loves it, and has expressed an interest in improving their skills and performance. Private lessons can help your child advance their skills, develop good habits, and avoid forming bad habits.

Motivation and a drive to improve are key factors in whether or not the lessons will actually help your child. It's important for your child to practice in between private lessons.

Children who receive private baseball lessons are usually more likely to advance to playing at higher levels than children who only receive group coaching during regular team practice. However private lessons don't guarantee your child will play collegiate or professional baseball.

What is the difference between private and semi-private baseball lessons?

In a private baseball lesson, the athlete trains one-on-one with an instructor who tailors the lesson specifically to their needs and skill level. In a semi-private lesson, two athletes work together with one instructor. Semi-private lessons, also called partner lessons, typically cost 10% to 20% less than private lessons. However, because the trainer's attention is divided between the two athletes, the athletes don't get the same level of individualized instruction as they would in a private lesson.

What age should you start pitching lessons?

Baseball instructors generally recommend that children start pitching lessons at around 8 to 12 years old, though there are no age requirements or exact rules. Learning fundamental pitching skills early on can help your child avoid developing bad habits that will be difficult for them to break later.

However, your child should not start taking pitching lessons until they are comfortable throwing the ball as well as catching the ball one-handed.

Mark was awesome with my son in coaching him on pitching and hitting. I like that he spent some time 1st getting him to stretch before we even starting on a lesson. He was patience and got right to the point of how to do each lesson. He also turned each lesson into a game, which is a nice change as it engaged my son more with each lesson. Mark was professional, quick to respond to my questions, and was able to find a time that worked out. At the end of the lesson he shared a video on how to stretch before pitching and gave my son homework before the next lesson. I will defiantly be doing another lesson with Mark and recommend him to anyone looking to improve your kids baseball skills
