San Joaquin Country Club & On Target Performance
About
I am the assistant pro at San Joaquin Country Club as well as an instructor at On Target Performance. I have been an instructor for 2 years following my Division I college golf career at The University of Nevada Reno. I taught with my long time swing coach, Mike Schy (also Bryson Dechambeau's coach), for almost two years. I have learned most of what I know about teaching, playing, and coaching from him and have been heavily influence by Bryson's work ethic and approach to the game. My goal with instruction is to inspire my students to work hard, seek excellence, and understand what they do want to do, how to do it, and why. I am an Authorized Instructor of The Golfing Machine and am currently an LPGA Apprentice working toward my Class A certification. Feel free to check out one of my coaching environments at ontargetperformancegolf.com or on Instagram at @ontargetperformance as well as San Joaquin Country Club at sjcc.cc. Let me know if you have any questions and I hope I get the chance to work with you!
I am passionate about educating my students about the game as well as their motion. I am all about owning what you do, whatever that may be. I am here to help you build your own swing as no two people are the same and neither should their swings. I love to learn and teach and to help others get excited about what they do!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We do a short interview where I get to know a little about your background, playing history, equipment, goals, any injuries, etc. An assessment of the student is done and a decision about our starting point is established based on skill level. I then decide whether the student needs to first work on body control, club control, or if we can move all the way to ball control to begin with.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an Authorized Instructor of The Golfing Machine and have earned my GSEB (Golf Stroke Engineer Bachelor) credential having completed my Level 1 and Level 2 training. I am also an LPGA Apprentice in the LPGA TEP working toward my Class A credential. I am also a club fitter and am able to do club repair at our Institute.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
30 minutes $40-45
60 minutes $80-90
How did you get started teaching?
As a long time competitive player I have always been fascinated with the golf swing and the way it works. I love to learn and I want to share my passion for the game and pursuit of excellence with other people.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages and all skill levels ranging from 4 years old to 80 years old; from exceptional juniors to players who have never picked up a club. I have a little experience with players with injuries, high school players, collegiate players, and even players who just want to beat their buddies in a skins game.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
If they can't or are unwilling to answer the question "why" find someone who can or is willing.
