About
I have been playing golf for 45+ years.
My goal is to promote golf to as many people as I can. I love to see others enjoy themselves on the golf course as much as I do and have been helping others with playing and practice tips for over 25 years.
My approach to golf is keeping it as simple as I can. I promote very simple techniques and coach my students with easy practice drills. My ability to use different words, examples or explanations helps me be a successful coach.
I invented a training aid for the short game. The tool is a visual aid that helps you grove your stroke in putting, chipping and pitching. I also record and review lesson with students. My services are guaranteed.
the greatest outcome of using my training aid is that you learn to understand your misses right away with little help from me. Most golfers don't know what they did wrong after hitting a bad shot. I noticed that my students would tell me what they did wrong almost every time when they had a miss. I would ask what do they need to do and almost 100% of the time they new exactly what they needed to do to correct the error.
I picked up the game very fast and it came easy to me. My father and I took a set of lessons when I was 15. I played on a 3 par golf course for my first 9 months. I made my first hole in one when I was 16 during I my first Jr golf tournament. I won the tournament. I was shooting in 80's after only playing 1 year. I have been fortunate to have made 4 hole in one's so far. My lowest handicap has been 3.2. I was excepted into the PGA apprentice program in 1988 but had to withdraw due to sudden family related issue.
I love to help others enjoy their golf experience! I take great satisfaction in seeing people light up when they execute what they are trying to accomplish. When some makes that first 20' put they are hooked and that's what I strive for.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I go in the order of putting, chipping, pitching, irons and woods. I use a lot demonstrations, conversations and the use of a training aid for putting, chipping, pitching. I also teach my students about course management and how to look at each shot with different options.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked in golf shop for 2 years. I was accepted to the PGA apprentice program in 1998. Playing golf for 40 years, studying others approach to the game and having good understanding of how to play the course.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do have a standard rate for all aspects of the game. After we meet and go over needs price is covered.
How did you get started teaching?
I have always had a love for the game and when I noticed others struggle and I seen what they could do different to improve I would always give free tips.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with beginners all the way to golfers that have played for 20+ years. I have worked with children 10 to seniors.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My fondest event is when I played on the click for tee time tour. I was never the best player that participated in the 12 events that they had but at the end of the year I was the winner. I played in every event and was consistently in the top 10 and I won a trip for two to Los Cabo's all expenses paid with air, hotel and two rounds of golf. It's similar to the FedEx cup for the PGA but at a local level.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say to have a meeting and see how you interact with the teacher. I personally do a demo with all my students first so that we can see if they understand my methods and/or conversation. You can go to the best teacher but if you can't relate to the instructions then you will probably not get what you hoped for.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I think they should just say what they are struggling with and when they get a response from teacher they need to ask themselves if it made sense and if they think they can learn from this teacher.
