About
I teach in south Orange County, CA at El Niguel Country Club. We are located 50 miles south of LAX and 40 miles north of Carlsbad, CA. El Niguel CC is a private, member owned facility that welcomes guests for golf instruction. Growing up alongside Justin Leonard, PGA TOUR and Harrison Frazar, PGA TOUR at Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas, Texas, we all had aspirations of playing professionally. In 1993 through 1995 I attempted playing on the Hogan Tour along side Steve Stricker, PGA TOUR. In 1996 through 1998 I had the privilege of coaching Hunter Haas, WEB.COM TOUR while we were both attaining our bachelor degree in Interpersonal Communications at the University of Oklahoma. My last attempt at playing professionally was in 2004 on the Hooters Tour. All of these experiences, and people involved are partly responsible for my love of teaching the game. I have been teaching for over 20 years and have been affiliated with the PGA of America for just as long. I was introduced to RST through a client of mine on March 15, 2013. When I looked at the method and the belief of the program, RST provided me a substantial support structure with proof to back it up. In short, I have been teaching this technique for years, but now I have more knowledge and a better way to present it to my clients in a consistent manner. I am the Director of Instruction at ENCC. Along with that, I am the Director of the Ladies and Junior programs. Having been here for over 10 years, I am very excited about the future of my clients and how they are truly going to understand how to improve their game.
I enjoy meeting people and assisting them with learning the game we all love to hate. The fact that this game is challenging is what keeps me motivated to teach and help people improve in a systematic way.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I get to know them and make them feel comfortable with the atmosphere and my style of teaching.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been affliliated with the PGA for over 25 years. My training is extensive in biomechanics and teaching people how to move their bodies on purpose. I use Trackman, video, Perfect Putter, 4Dmotion and other training aids to assist with my instruction.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing structure is simple: 45 minutes - $175 and for a series of 6 lessons for $900. Playing lessons 9 holes - $300
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with juniors, beginners, top amateurs and professionals.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you like who you hire as your coach/teacher. I tell all my students that if you do not like what your teacher is saying or how they are saying it, go find one you do like.
You would never stay with a docter you didn't like, treat this the same way.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Make sure you have a goal and/or a purpose for seeking instruction. This is not a sport that is learned in 6 weeks. It takes years to learn and years to improve. Take your time and enjoy the ride. Make sure you can commit to yourself so that you can be successful.
