10 years experience teaching golf. over 3000 lessons given. philosophy is based on the tenets of The Golfing Machine by Homer Kelly. Strong proponent of essentials of a strong set up, including grip, alignment, posture. Expert at short game including chipping, pitching and putting. Expert club fitter. Believe strongly that the swing should be based on the physical attributes and natural ability of the student. Finally emphasize playing the game, not just technical aspects of the swing per se. Goal is to maximize scoring ability and consistency. PGA Class A member since 2008. Member PGA Presidents Council.
i just love working with players giving them one simple tip which makes all the difference in their results, most players can only handle one thing at a time so the key is focus on the most important thing they can do at the time to improve. the joy comes from seeing that new improved result.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
analyze swing, determine goals, find out golf and athletic history. start with set up fundamentals which is where most problems originate. work on impact positions first, then weight transfer, then full swing, then driving, then short game. finally go play since the game really is about scoring not what the swing looks like or how far you can hit it.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
have been to full day seminars with hank haney, michael breed, jim flick, and mike bender-zach johnson's coach. regular read golf mag and golf digest. thoroughly studied and was taught key principles of The Golfing Machine by Homer Kelly, the bible for most modern day golf instructors.

Standard pricing is $65/hour, $200 for a series of 4 lessons, $150 for a 9 hole playing lesson.
