Hello! My name is John Lindsay, and I am a saxophonist in the Los Angeles area. I've been playing for saxophone since middle school and since then I have played in many different types of contexts such as jazz, r&b, pop, funk, classical, etc. I studied music at Berklee College of Music in 2020, where I expanded my musical experience even more. I'm here to use my experience to teach you how to play saxophone and elevate your music career!

Enrico K. says, "I have been taking guitar lessons with Chris for seven months and I can confidently say that he is the best teacher I have ever had. He is very experienced in playing and teaching guitar, and he has a personalized approach that suits my needs and goals. He is located in a convenient area, and he is very flexible with scheduling. He communicates clearly and effectively, and he always gives me constructive feedback and encouragement. He has helped me improve my skills and confidence in playing different genres of music. He has also taught me a lot about music theory. He has a passion for music and teaching, and he always makes the lessons fun and engaging. He is not only a great teacher, but also a great mentor: I enjoy my weekly lessons with him. I highly recommend Chris to anyone who wants to learn guitar or improve their musical abilities." I’ve had three of my children working with Val and they have loved it! Each has developed in their skill in beautiful ways whether in voice, guitar or harp. I couldn’t recommend Val more, she’s wonderful!

I’ve been taking bass lessons with Jeff Brent for about 5–6 months and recently started guitar lessons with him about 2 months ago, and I couldn’t be happier with the progress I’ve made. Jeff is an incredible teacher—extremely talented, intelligent, and deeply knowledgeable about music. What really sets him apart is that he doesn’t just teach tabs or shortcuts; he dives into music theory and explains things in a way that makes it click. It feels like I’m learning the right way, with a strong foundation that will benefit me no matter what instrument I pick up. Jeff is also super flexible with scheduling, which makes it easy to find a time each week that works. The fact that he teaches through Zoom is not only convenient, but it also makes his lessons affordable since I don’t have to drive anywhere. On top of that, he can teach just about any instrument ( except trumpet🤣), so I know I’ll always have room to grow under his instruction. He’s not only a gifted musician and teacher but also a genuinely nice and funny person, which makes lessons something I always look forward to. I honestly wouldn’t want to be taught by anyone else from now on. If you’re looking for a teacher who knows his craft inside and out, makes learning enjoyable, and adapts to your needs, I can’t recommend Jeff Brent enough. He also has a band called 7heSep787 check him out on youtube!

Within ONE lesson, Howard could pinpoint EXACTLY what my trouble areas are, and not only is he able to articulate a very clear plan for dealing with those, but he has also helped me with the burdening amount of pain that plagues my joints and muscles when I play something technically demanding! Furthermore, he is very focused, understanding, knowledgeable and gentle! After having many verbally.... difficult teachers whose teaching involved quite a bit of negative reinforcement, it is an absolute pleasure and an eye opening experience to have a patient, understanding teacher. Some people may learn quite well in that fashion, and there was a period of time when I actually believed, or rather was brainwashed into thinking that being verbally berated would serve as motivation. But now I see quite clearly that is not the case: I learn a lot better and I am more motivated to practice when I find it a pleasure to go to my piano lessons! Thank you, Howard for all your dedication, patience and knowledge!

Noel is an amazing player and teacher, together we have worked on proper technique, ear training, music theory, composition, and various practice methods. Since meeting him I have become a much better guitar player, and overall musician. My favorite part about working with him is his ability to learn any song by ear within minutes, which we can then dissect together. He is truly the full package, and I strongly recommend him to any student, beginner, or professional looking to improve. Very grateful to have met him, and am looking forward to taking lessons for the foreseeable future!

Larry was my son's piano instructor for 2 years. He's a wonderful piano player and a very patient piano teacher. My son learned more from Larry in two years than he ever learned from his previous instructors at Alhambra School of Music on Main Street. Our only regret was we didn't find him sooner. Dec 14, 2020
