Dan Zimring Golf was created to help golfers of all levels with every part of their game. I can help you with all facets of your golf. Driving, iron play, pitching, chipping, putting, and course management are all areas we can work on in the studio.
I am so excited to now be teaching at Precision Golf Center in Torrance CA. Precision is a state of the art studio with top of the line Foresight golf simulator technology
I previously taught at the Lakes at El Segundo for over 25 years servicing the community with lessons on the driving range, putting green, and golf course.
I love helping people get better at their game and enjoy it more by helping them understand their own tendencies and simplify what they need to do to get better.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Every first lesson begins with an assessment of the student’s current form. Even a raw beginner will display some tendencies so wez’ll getbstarted by hitting some balls. Then we’ll create a plan for improvement including lessons, practice, and often at-home drills.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve taught golf for over 30 years and have been a competitive player as well since I was 10 years old.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$135 per hour. Lessons can be 30 or 60 minutes (recommend one hour for first lesson). Multiple lesson package rate also available.
For players who like to practice at Precision there are membership opportunities as well which bring the lesson rate down.
How did you get started teaching?
I took many lessons as a young player and was always interested in how players can get better. My mother is/was an exceptional teacher and I learned much of what I do from her. When I finished my college playing career I started teaching and have been enjoying it for the last 30 years.
What types of students have you worked with?
i work wth all types of students. Men, women, children, right handers, left handers, raw beginners, and aspiring professionals. The only requirement is a desire to learn and improve...and have fun.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Some of my favorite moments are when a student achieves a long sought after goal. Making a par, shooting a good score, or just enjoying playing more than they ever have. It’s very fulfilling on my end to share those moments and know I played a small role in helping them achieve something.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Ask around to see if you know anyone who has worked with that instructor. Even observe that instructor work (unobtrusively) if possible.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I’d say just feel free to ask any questions you are curious about. Lots of people are unsure how the process works.
