What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I assess the student by watching them warm up and take a few swings. I'll ask simple background questions, how long they've been playing, what's their handicap what they'd like to improve upon etc..
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been in the industry and teaching since 2002. PGA Member. Fluent with Trackman and JC Video. Work with many juniors and adults of all ages. Played 4 years of colege golf on the east coast.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$50 per half hour, includes video analysis and Trackman usage.
How did you get started teaching?
Started coaching Girls Golf Team in College after graduating and then got in the PGA program
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with young children just starting the game to high schools kids, to college golfers to those that have retired and just picking up the game.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I just recently had the opportunity to play a round of golf at Cypress Point with two of my students that i've been working with for a while... no words to explain how awesome of a day it truly was!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I believe that the student and the teacher should relate to one another and what I mean by that is make sure that the student understands what the message is that the teacher is convaying.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are your realalistic goals?
Be specific in what your goals actualy are.
