About
"HB" Duntz MacArthur played on the LPGA tour from 1975-1985 departing to raise their son with husband, actor James MacArthur. She won the LPGA Teaching Division Inaugural National Championship in 1983. "HB" studied the golf swing mentoring under the distinguished PGA golf professionals, Tom Creavy who won the PGA Championship in 1931, Golf Digest instructors: Bob Tosky, Jim Flick & Peter Kostis. Gardener Dickinson, Jack Grout, John Roberts,Tom Nieporte, & Gary Player were formative instructors expanding her methodologies. In 2011, "HB" became the 48th person in the history of the LPGA to earn her Master Life Professional status as an instructor. "HB" believes in the importance of club fitting to maximize a golfers potential. She strives to articulate the swing simply which comes from 48 years of instucting. She was the 1st LPGA instructor at Pleasant Valley CC in Sutton, Ma under Paul Harney, JDM in Palm Beach Garden's, Florida under Tony Penna, and Waialae CC in Honolulu Hawaii under Palmer Lawrence. She had a golf school for students of Palm Valley School in Rancho Mirage, Ca for 22 years. HB teaches at College Of The Desert Driving Range on Fred Waring in Palm Desert.
No matter what your age, gender, physical limitation or ability, "HB" offers a simple way customed to each student to help them improve. She offers instruction on how to practice, exercises to increase strength & range of motion as well as club fitting advice. Seeing positive results puts a smile on her students faces which gives "HB" great pleasure. This is why she loves her profession!!

60 minute lesson: $150.00
Lesson rate includes payment to College of the Desert for teaching space. It also includes text, email and telephone time should you have questions or game concerns between lessons and also after you leave the desert seasonally. HB encourages students to take notes after each lesson mindfully recording what they have learned in the lesson and email them to her. She makes additions, corrections and suggestions in emails back to you. These notes will serve you well and assist in quicker game improvement! Yeah!

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$150. for the hour which includes rental space....do not charge extra if the lesson runs overtime. Student purchases their own range balls at College of the Desert. HB is always on call to answer student questions giving assistance by phone, e-mail or text gratis. If needed, she will direct you in your personal club fitting to maximize your game as part of your lesson.
