Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I talk to the student to find out what their desires and dreams are with their horse and I create a plan to help the student achieve their goals. If the student has challenges with their horse, I help them both to overcome the challenges so they can both begin to have fun together! Once the student builds a strong foundation with their horse they can achieve anything!

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Today was one of my students birthday. She has a yearling colt and we videotaped her loading her foal into the horse trailer with the horse walking by her side and the lead rope was draped over the foals back. So the foal loaded himself. It was only the 3rd session working with the trailer. It was a great birthday present for her!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
choose a instructor that teaches in a way that brings out the best part of your horse. Make sure that the instructor understands the horse language and horse psychology well enough that the horse finishes each session feeling like a winner. It is important that instructor looks for moments to reward the horse in order to build the horses confidence!
