Hi, I’m Ming. Nice to meet you! I recently moved to Rancho Cucamonga after I graduated from the University of Kansas with my doctoral degree in piano performance and piano pedagogy. I have been teaching private piano for four years for all ages of students, from 5-year-old to adult students. It is always inspiring and fun to work with different students. My goal is to bring joy and achievement to students’ life. Anyone can learn to play and it’s never too late! During my education, I have studied music theory extensively. I am a pianist with a rich musical background and a passion for teaching. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Piano. During my university years, I embarked on my teaching career, which has spanned over 25 years, even after immigrating to the United States. While living in Europe for three years, I continued to teach piano. I organized regular student recitals once a year, fostering a platform for my students to showcase their talent. Through dedicated instruction, I guided my students to achieve remarkable accomplishments, including securing second place in the prestigious German Piano Competition. My teaching method's primary goal is to create a life long passion for music in my students by prioritizing self expression and performance. I try to make sure that my students have composed or recorded music which utilizes the technique or method of the days lesson every lesson. My experience running the independent record label, Kairos Core Records, has given me a unique insight to the creative process which I want to give to all my students as I believe self expression is the strongest motivator for a musician.
