Steve started his golf career at the Rancho Bernardo Inn & C. C. in San Diego in 1980. In the thirty years since Steve has taught on the staffs of some of the worlds best golf instructors. In 1988 Steve was on staff at Derek Hardy's California Academy of Golf. Derek at the time was and still is teacher to many LPGA stars. Derek is also in Golf Digest Top 50 Teachers in America. In 1994 Steve joined the Hank Haney Golf Instructional Staff of California. Mr. Haney worked as the swing coach for Tiger Woods and many other tour players and is listed in Golf Digest as a top 5 Instructor. In 2010 Steve was named Golf Instructor of the Year by the Professional Golf Teachers and Coaches Association. In the last thirty years Steve has helped players of all skill levels to understand, improve and enjoy golf at a higher level.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

With Video I show student where they need help. I use  video in all instruction sessions.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been teaching professionally since 1980. I have worked on two of Golf Digest Top Teachers Staffs. I own my own golf school with twenty locations in the USA, Canada and Mexico.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

My normal teaching fees start at $100 an hour. But at my Riverside location I charge the following rates.

1 Hour Lesson $60

3 - 1 Hour Lessons $165

6 - 1 Hour Lessons $250

$250 Deal includes 3 one hour lessons plus a 2 hour on course playing lesson. Thereis a $17 course fee paid at time of playuing lesson.

2 Hour Short game Golf Schools $199

3 Hour Full Swing and Short Game Golf schools $299

5 Hour Full Swing and Short Game Golf Schools $399

3 and 5 Hour Golf Schools include golf with cart.

5 Hour Golf Schools include 2 hour playing lesson.

How did you get started teaching?

Started working in the golf business in 1980. Became a decent player and worked with really good teachers and players. Final I started my own golf schools in 2000. By 2016 I have well over 25 locations.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Look for years of teaching experience. Look for full time instructors.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Knowing what you want out of golf. Golf is one of the hardest games to become good at. Know what your Goals are.
