I’ve been taking bass lessons with Jeff Brent for about 5–6 months and recently started guitar lessons with him about 2 months ago, and I couldn’t be happier with the progress I’ve made. Jeff is an incredible teacher—extremely talented, intelligent, and deeply knowledgeable about music. What really sets him apart is that he doesn’t just teach tabs or shortcuts; he dives into music theory and explains things in a way that makes it click. It feels like I’m learning the right way, with a strong foundation that will benefit me no matter what instrument I pick up. Jeff is also super flexible with scheduling, which makes it easy to find a time each week that works. The fact that he teaches through Zoom is not only convenient, but it also makes his lessons affordable since I don’t have to drive anywhere. On top of that, he can teach just about any instrument ( except trumpet🤣), so I know I’ll always have room to grow under his instruction. He’s not only a gifted musician and teacher but also a genuinely nice and funny person, which makes lessons something I always look forward to. I honestly wouldn’t want to be taught by anyone else from now on. If you’re looking for a teacher who knows his craft inside and out, makes learning enjoyable, and adapts to your needs, I can’t recommend Jeff Brent enough. Larry was my son's piano instructor for 2 years. He's a wonderful piano player and a very patient piano teacher. My son learned more from Larry in two years than he ever learned from his previous instructors at Alhambra School of Music on Main Street. Our only regret was we didn't find him sooner. Dec 14, 2020

I like doing lessons with Jeremey because he is positive and helpful during the lesson. If there was a mistake in an exercise we were working on he takes it step by step to make it better. In addition, when we fix mistakes it’s in a very uplifting way. His lessons are very helpful and positive!

Noel is an amazing player and teacher, together we have worked on proper technique, ear training, music theory, composition, and various practice methods. Since meeting him I have become a much better guitar player, and overall musician. My favorite part about working with him is his ability to learn any song by ear within minutes, which we can then dissect together. He is truly the full package, and I strongly recommend him to any student, beginner, or professional looking to improve. Very grateful to have met him, and am looking forward to taking lessons for the foreseeable future!

Finding Saro was such a blessing. I came to Saro as a former music major myself, looking for beginner classical guitar lessons for my son (who had already been playing cello for 3.5 years with demonstrated musical ability). We interviewed instructors for about a month and finally found Saro....You could not ask for a more capable, kind, accommodating guitar teacher. Saro brings a wealth of not only technical but also cultural musical knowledge to each lesson. (In fact, when searching for a guitar teacher, it was Saro's impressive education and performance history, including a Masters in Classical Guitar from USC/Thornton, that set him apart from the slew of your typical rock/pop guitar teachers in the L.A. area). But as soon as we met Saro at our first lesson -- and encountered his welcoming cool smile -- we knew we made the right decision in both pedigree and personality. Saro is a super cool guy who teaches all ages. And he gels especially well with kids AND their parents. He is particularly wonderful and patient with our 10-year-old son, who can be somewhat shy to talk during lessons. Saro meets him where he can reach him and makes the lessons comfortable. He also allows we parents to sit in on the lessons, to learn alongside the student. This has great benefits for reinforcing concepts during practice time at home.
