Golf Training By Alford
About
Hi Everyone,
My name's Nick Alford, I'm a California Native and Amateur golfer. I played varsity golf in High School and collegiate golf in 2007-2009. I've taken lessons from many of the high level golf pros in the surrounding area to help improve my golf swing and scoring ability. I'm currently a 3.2 handicap. I've helped many of my friends, family and acquaintances grow their game of golf over the years and I've had tons of success. Golfers that were shooting 100+ are now shooting high 80s to mid 90s. Players that were 10-15 handicaps, I've helped them get to single digits and some are even shooting scratch golf. I love the game and have a huge passion for golf. I'm looking to take my knowledge and competitive experience and help the next generation of golfers and kids to continue to grow the game of golf and help improve scoring and course knowledge to have more fun and shoot better scores out on the course, consistently!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I come with over 15 years of experience playing, teaching, fitting, and learning the game of Golf. I played 4 years of High School Varsity golf and 2 years of Collegiate golf. I've worked at a few local courses and shops over the years and have a strong understanding of the different facilities and options available to practice, train and teach new/intermediate students. I also have my certification as a club fitter.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$30/hr or $60/hr for group lessons, up to 3 people. Rate will increase if travel over 10 miles is required.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching my mother how to golf when I was in high school. She was shooting 120+ per 18 holes and after 6 months of working with her, she now shoots low 90s. Given my success, I then started getting my friends into golf, teaching them basic swing mechanics and fundamentals to the game. I've drastically reduced scoring for many of my family and friends over the past 10 years. They've all encouraged me to help others given my ability to make impactiful changes that allow my students to go out on the course and shoot low while having fun. This sport is the best game there is but without the proper instruction and training, it can also be one of the hardest most frustrating games out there!
