About
I work with students of all ages and abilities. Whether you are brand new to Golf, or have a goal to break 100, 90, 80 or even 70 I can help you make it happen.
For 14 years I've been working with adults, groups, families and kids with kids camps offered weekend mornings all year round. M-F all summer and weekends /after school Sept-May.
I caddy for some elite golfers, and I have one student trying to make the pro tour! We've competed on the Canadian Q school 3 times. I think we'll make it ! In between the pro efforts I really enjoy working with beginners and kids. All summer, and weekend mornings working in my kids camps are some of my favorite times coaching.
Most lesson packages include a 9 hole "on course lesson" which is invaluable. I have a fun approach and help students of all abilities. I use the latest in technology including swing analyzers, computers, video and more to help students understand their swing and make the most of their lesson time.
Golf is my passion. I play and practice every chance I get. I'm a natural born teacher who has really studied my craft. Getting to know someone personally and the way they personally learn is critical! Only one thing's for sure, everybody learns differently. My gift is finding out how a person learns and then delivering a golf lesson in their own language. Some need to watch, some need to try first, some need to see a video, some need to read about these strategies first. Some need to know the big picture, some need to know the details. No two lessons are ever the same.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Learning to golf takes time. You can't go to the gym one time and become Arnold Schwarzenegger. I like to start off with the Five Lessons series that culminates with a 9-hole on-course lesson. We start close to the flag and move out so putting is first and then chipping, pitching, followed by full shots. Working in the San Bruno Golf Center is great because I'm in the short game area where all the most important golf shots can be practiced. The double decker range we have works great for full shots, and allows us to meet and work in the rain! (but only if you want too) . Advanced students will be interested to know that I use the latest in technology combining Computers video and swing analyzer to make the most of your swing and really help you understand where you're at now and where you need to go to make the improvements that you're looking for. In four lessons we will cover all of the different golf shots and most importantly for beginners, learn about the basic rules and etiquette that is expected during a round on the course. Our lessons leading up to our day on the course will include time on the "pitching course" that I set up in the short game area each hole being about 30 or 40 yards. This is important because you learn about how to go about setting up your tee shot, where to stand when someone else is shooting, who's turn is next what club should you use coming into the green, where do I stand when someone else is putting, when should I remove the flag from the hole or replace it, when do I need to be quiet and how do I not embarrass myself and anyone I'm with! Again for beginners it's critical to have an understanding of all these small rules. When you're a beginning golfer the most important thing really is to keep up with pace of play and to not embarrass yourself by braking any rules of etiquette while playing. These are the things you learn from me during a 5 lesson series at Mr. Peters Golf Camp.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've shot under par and I can help you do it too. My mentor has studied under Hank Haney. I have years of experience as a caddy. I caddy for a young man who shoots in the sixties. My most successful student! Weave participated in the 5 day tournament for the Canadian Q School 3 years in a row. I've been coaching sports for 15 years and golf for 10 years I have a successful business with many many accomplished students of every level.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I have lessons for individuals and groups. My basic package includes four 1 hour lessons and one 2 hour on course lesson. Cost for 1 student private series is $300 adults $250 kids <17 yrs. The value of having a good instructor out on the course with you cannot be overestimated. You can save a lot of money if you bring a friend to learn with you two friends even more! Here's how the pricing works for the package that includes four1 hour lessons at the range and one 2 hour lesson on the course:
Private $300
2 students $250 ea.
3+ students $200 ea.
