I'm a Golf Instructor at PoplarCreek Golf Course in San Mateo. Practice facility includes a driving range, short game area and an 18 hole golf course. I also coach a High School girls golf team during the season.
From green to tee, short game, full swing and course management to help you enjoy golf and create a swing that's efficient for you.
Teaching golf since 1999 and coaching HS golf since 2011.
Interacting with students that have a desire to learn or better their golf game. I enjoy seeing the progression of developing their swing and game improvement by building a solid understanding of simple fundamentals fitted for each individual.

How did you get started teaching?
Started playing in 1987 when the U.S. Open came to the Olympic Club in San Francisco. Got the golfing bug and finally got serious about understanding, the "WHY"? Took up teaching thru USGTF.
What types of students have you worked with?
Worked with beginners to experienced golfers from all ages. My daughter started swinging the golf club when she was 4 yrs old and now she's 28 and still has a solid fundamental game.
Currently working with students as young as 5 yrs old to 70+ yrs old.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
On a personal note, had the honor and privilege to play Cypress Point Golf Club in Monterey for my 60th birthday.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Simply said, have patience and it's about progression, not perfection.
Make time for practice and playing.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Specific goals and realistic time frame to acheive goals.
