About this pro

I teach private golf lessons for kids and adults, specializing in personalized lesson plans while using Trackman. Learn all aspects of golf from your full swing, short game, and putting.

I love working with students and building a plan to improve. The journey is exciting when we can progress through drills, video feedback, and mental coaching. Golf is fun, but often times frustrating. I can help get rid of those frustrations by developing better swing fundamentals.

What a difference a good coach can make. I had started learning golf in 2012 and lost interest quickly with my inability to make real progress. Earlier this year, I restarted on golf with Sean as a coach. He has made a day and night difference. He is a very methodical and a very insightful coach. He is just amazing in analyzing a swing and quickly identifying components that have improved as well as one or two that require some tweaks. His explanation of “why” as well as specific drill to improve a specific part has been really effective. He has got me motivated and energized with the rate of improvement I have not experienced before. I am having fun. Thank you Sean for your coaching!!

I enjoy working with Sean! His patience and attention to detail on technique is amazing! He breaks down things such as the swing to help fine tune and piece it all together. Overall, he is fun to work with and a great motivator.

Sean teaches me and my entire family (wife, 8-year old son, and 5-year old daughter). He's absolutely terrific. For the kids, he's very positive and encouraging, and breaks things down in a way that they understand. Importantly, he also stresses the importance of golf etiquette instead of just teaching them how to hit a ball. For me, I hadn't practiced in years and he made a dramatic difference in the first lesson alone even though my mechanics were subpar. Once I made those improvements, he's started breaking me down and reconstructing my swing from the ground up, so that I can apply all of his lessons more consistently. I look forward to each lesson, especially since he records your swing on his smartphone, as well as himself demonstrating how you should be swinging, and sends everything to you so you can view your film and hear his advice even when he's off the clock.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

On your first lesson I will analyze your swing and talk with you about current issues related to your swing, clubs, physical abilities, and course management. Then I'll create a plan to help you improve by teaching you key setup and swing points using drills and video feedback. Lessons are instructed using Trackman.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have my Titleist Performance Institute golf and junior level 2 certification and my level 2 Swing Catalyst certification. I also coach the boys and girls Harker golf team.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Private lesson rates:

one hour lesson $150

30 minute lesson $75

video lessons: $50 (record your swing from down the line and face on view and I'll respond back with video tips and drills)

How did you get started teaching?

Started golf at a young age and have been teaching independently and coaching at the high school level.

What types of students have you worked with?

All ages from kids as young as 8 to adults over 70. I have experience with beginners to single digit players.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Find someone who can breakdown multiple ways of saying the same thing to allow faster learning and progression.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

What are your goals when taking private lessons and how do you want your golf game to be one year from now?
