Laurie Ridgeway is quite knowledgeable in a number of equine endeavors. Jumping, English/Western Dressage, Trail, Huntseat, and both English and Western Equitation. She also schools students and trains horses, for Driving. She has an easy-going manner that inspires. Riders who work with her are encouraged to expand their skills without anxiety or drama.

I like everything from the flexibility of lesson to a variety of horses and levels to ride . Or sometimes I bring my own horses . The lesson are both challenging and rewarding. Laurie has a vast knowledge of both horse and rider . Thanks to Lauries guidance I’ve started riding a new style and I am having a blast ! . It’s also great to ride in the shade of her covered arena .

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We start with a meet and greet so you have a chance to see the facility and meet the horses. If we can arrange for you to watch a lesson being given so you can see first hand how we teach and what to expect we will.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been training, coaching and competing since 1985. I have successfully competed in a wide variety of disciplines ranging from English (Jumping, Dressage, X Country) to Western (Gymkhana, Pleasure, Trail, Reining, Ranch Riding, Stock Horse, Cow Horse, etc) and am now also doing Working Equitation and Western Dressage.
