About

I love sharing the joy that comes with spending time with horses and giving students all the knowledge they want. My goal is for every student to be able to apply what they learn to any horse they deal with and to become the best horsewomen and men they can be.

I have really loved taking lessons from Jodi. I had very little previous knowledge about horseback riding and she takes the time to thoroughly explain everything to me. Her horses are also wonderful and make riding so comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend for anyone looking to start lessons.

    Frequently asked questions

I start with the first lesson as an evaluation so we have a starting point. Whether it is a beginner or advanced rider we have to have a starting point. If I am working with the horse I give the horse up to a month to create a communication system that will be taught to the rider during their lessons. I want to be working with the rider and horse together as soon as possible as that is the relationship that needs to be developed. Goals will be discussed from day one and modified as we progress.

Teaching is a part of horse training. The owner has to learn how to communicate with the horse after the training is done in order to maintain the training. The love of teaching people how to communicate with their horses led to teaching people who don't have a horse the beauty of communication with these powerful animals.
I have worked with people of all ages and walks of life from kindergarteners to renowned dressage trainers. I have worked with doctors and competitive mounted shooters, breeders and trainers, backyard owners and those who never owned a horse.
Watching a student of four years develop enough confidence to ride her horse for the first time without a bridle where she did circles, flying lead changes, stops, rollbacks, and backups. It was a beautiful moment.
Find a trainer who will give you the same tools to communicate with your horse as they use and is patient, kind, and consistent.
