About

We create an environment where the rider can grow and thrive. We work to structure an individualized program that fits each rider's specific needs and goals.

Over the course of 50 years in the horse business, I have run my own business, Rancho Del Mar. I have taught riders from the beginning level to accomplished equestrians. My riders have won numerous World Championships at national level riding Morgans and Saddlebreds.

I now run Ride RDM which teaches riding to all levels and aged riders. Ride RDM is a division of Majestic Farms. We are located within Deer Springs Equestrian, 2333 N Twin Oaks Valley Road, San Marcos CA 92069.

I enjoy helping each rider attain their horsemanship goals whether it be mastering the beginning levels of riding upto winning World Championships. I also enjoy watching the children and adults bond and grow with the horses. Basically I enjoy watching my riders enjoy the World of Horses and Horseback Riding and all that entails.

LOVE LOVE LOVE- My granddaughter and our love of horses were my inspiration to start riding again. My granddaughter started riding with Anne Speck when she turned 4 yrs old - that was almost 7 yrs ago, she has been with Anne ever since. My love for horses and watching her transform into a beautiful rider inspired me to get back into the sport. So now we both are under the guidance of Anne Speck. Anne has taught us both so much, she is patient, guides us to be the best we can be and is highly respected by her peers, and students. I have truly enjoyed the past 7 years and hope to enjoy several more riding with Anne, Cierra and the RDM Family.

What started out as a buy one, get one free riding lesson for my daughter to see if she would enjoy a riding camp last summer as our family prepared to welcome a new baby, has turned into a 6 year old girls passion!
Anne, Cierra, Tori and everyone else at RDM are truly wonderful. Respect, responsibility, confidence, and pure joy are just some of the traits I see being instilled and learned over this past year. Keeping my daughter moving forward in her progress, continuously showing her what she is capable of and just making her feel that the barn is her home away from home. These ladies, this program and their school horses are nothing short of incredible. Our family is so grateful to be a part of the RDM community.

Frequently asked questions

The student receives an hour of our time. After questioning the student about his/her riding experience, the instructor then selects an appropriate lesson horse/pony. The student and instructor go out to corral. The instructor then helps the rider to halter and lead the selected horse back to our tie stalls inside the barn. The rider is then taught how to groom the horse. They then tack up the horse by putting on the horses' saddle and bridle. The rider then receives a 30 minute private riding lesson. After the lesson, they unpack the horse, regroom it, maybe give it a treat, and return the horse to its corral. We try to individualize the lesson so the rider has the safest, enjoyable and educational lesson possible.

I personally have been in the horse business and teaching riding to students for 50 years. My present instructors have at least 10 years experience around horses. We are very safety conscious in all aspects of dealing with horses especially during our lessons.

Our lessons are individual private lessons. The cost is $40 per hour of our time. The rider and instructor prepare the horse for riding by haltering the horse, leading it into the tie stall area, grooming and then tacking up the horse with its saddle and bridle. The rider then receives a 30 minute individual lesson from one of our highly qualified instructors. After the lesson, the rider untacks, re grooms and returns the horse to its corral. We also offer a set of 6 lessons for a prepaid fee of $230.

I have been in the horse business for almost 50 years . I had my own horse training and lesson business for almost 50 years. I was trainer and instructor at Rancho Del Mar from 1974 to 2013. In 2014 I joined forces with Majestic Farms. I then created the riding lesson division of Majestic Farms called Ride RDM.

I have worked with student riders of various ages from 7 to 60. I have taught the most serious types where we won World Championships to the casual rider who just enjoyed riding.

We attended the 2016 Morgan World Championship Horse Show where 2 of our riders won World Championships in their respective equitation divisions.

If they want to learn about horses, learn to ride, want to enter competitions, and enjoy the world of horses, we offer that grand experience at the Ride RDM division of Majestic Farms.

All they need to do is have a desire to learn about horses and horseback riding. If they are hesitant or fearful about learning to ride, my instructors are excellent at calming their nerves and making it an enjoyable experience. We can fill their riding dreams. We offer riding to casual rider as well as to the most competitive one.
