Brandon S. says, "I took both guitar and singing lessons from Ed on and off for a number of years, both in person and remotely. I was an intermediate/advanced guitarist and a beginner/intermediate singer when I started lessons with him. I have had guitar or voice teachers here and there over the years, but Ed has been the most effective for me by far. I am most impressed with how quickly and easily Ed is able to zero in on very specific areas that need to be worked on to improve. He then always seems to have a useful practice technique to address the issue. This effectiveness combined with his easy going and laid back personality make lessons with him an absolute pleasure." To find the best bass guitar lessons for you, look at the list of teachers nearby on the Lessons website. You might also find guitar lessons at local music stores.

Before choosing a guitar teacher, remember to:

  • Compare prices from 3 different teachers and ask what their lessons cover.

  • Request a list of other students they've taught to check their experience.
  • Ask other parents how their children feel about the teacher.

Ed is super friendly, calm, and very knowledgeable. He knows how to tailor lessons to my skill level and interests, and I've made great progress in my singing and guitar playing over the past few years. You can tell how much he loves music, and he truly seems to enjoy sharing the gift of music with me. I always feel comfortable making mistakes given how supportive and encouraging he is. I'm really glad I've got Ed as a teacher!

Mirco is an awesome teacher! I have been taking bass lessons with him for the past year and he has really helped all aspects of my playing. Most importantly it has been really fun. We studying everything from Jazz, to rock, to funk, to Primus. We have covered a lot of technical things and theory, but he also always makes sure to put it into practice and apply it to something I can enjoy playing. Last but not least, he is really great to hang out with during the bass lesson and is genuinely really nice :)

Sean is a very talented, nice, and patient guitar instructor. He worked around my interests in song playing (ie: wanting to play a particular song, finger style, electric vs acoustic, etc.) and loved discussing different songs/genres etc. Worked hard to make sure I had the right posture and avoided many of the bad habits that people end up forming. I wish I spent more time on the exercises he sent me home with. Would definitely recommend Sean! (He also has a cute cat <3)
