It is great to see students learn and improve. We don't just teach how to ride, we teach how to care for the horse.
We have worked on movie sets coaching stars like Tom Sizemore (Ring around the Rosie), Rodney Dangerfield (Meet Wally Sparks), as well as being on the Late Show with David Letterman's "Stupid Pet Tricks", General Hospital, where I rode my horse through a paper sunset, was on Bayeatch srveral times as a race horse trainer, and i produce a tv show on public sccess called "HorseTalk" with the American Entertainment Foundation.
I also ponied race horses at Santa Anita Race Track for top trainers there.
We also have a horse BEMER vet blanket available for rent. Please visit Www.goldenhorse.bemergroup.com

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make quality instruction a priority over a cheap price. Hire a seasoned professional. We are insured. Many trainers are not insured !! Make sure your potential instructor doesn't have any crazy background and that personalities don't clash. Be respectful of your trainers time arrive early for your riding lessons and give 24-48 hour notice if you need to cancel. Remember this might be a hobby for you but it's a profession for them .
Make sure you have a good riding helmet or access to one, hard soled shoes... no sneakers and bluejeans or appropriate riding breeches.
Go with an open mind to learn and have a good time and do what your instructor says. Be safety conscious and considerate.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about how many lessons you want to take a week and for how long.
What is in your budget for writing lessons allow at least $35-$40 per lesson. Private lessons will cost more than group lessons but it's well worth it . You could also consider a semi private lesson with two or three in the class .
