I could leave a novel length review regarding how good my experience was with my first round of sessions were with Alfredo. I had absolutely no experience painting with oils prior to my classes. As our sessions went on, Alfredo created snd altered my class structure to accommodate what I needed. He didn't just teach me how to put oils on a canvas, but explained the importance of everything from the care and cleaning of your brushes, materials he recommended all the way to explaining color theory, sketching and more. He has played an integral role in me using art and painting to finding peace and putting smiles on my face. I cant wait to see my progress in our next round of sessions. Not only is Alfredo a great instructor, but hes my mentor and my friend. Hes helped a U.S. Marine Combat Veteran find a way to push an illness aside and use art to be happy. I hope I'm able to attach my paintings below. One is my very first completed painting and one about to be completed, and could not look anything like they do with Alfredo's guidance. They are pieces painted prior from other artists.

Andres listens to his students carefully and excels at teaching values, colors, temperature, and other art concepts, including drawing. He instructs on how to compose pictures and set up still life arrangements with great detail. His explanations are easy to understand, and he simplifies complex concepts effectively. He responds to questions promptly, always keeps his promises, and engages with his students rather than teaching in a one-way manner. He is very patient and demonstrates painting and drawing techniques, offering a wide variety of methods. I highly recommend him at any level.

I loved the class. It was a beautiful natural setting. Very peaceful. The teacher, Lark was very sweet and helpful. I wasn't sure if I would like what I made, but in the end, I did. The other people who attended were also very nice and fun.…

Lula is a wonderful teacher. Her teaching style of experimenting with the materials while learning to express yourself (and understanding there is no wrong) is a wonderful way to learn. She's great at explaining about concepts and how to use different materials. She is always there to help with issues whether it be drawing, painting, or mixed-media. I'm thrilled to have found her and would highly recommend her to anyone regardless of experience or age.
