Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When a new student comes in, before jumping into training, I want to know their lifestyle. I'm looking at sleep, stress, diet and hydration before anything else. I then will ask for some specific goals and discuss realistic time frames and expectations. I then will do a few quick assessments to point out any weakness/mobility issues before we begin learning how to performe exercises that have a purpose for you. After we find a baseline and have a clear goal of what we want to accomplish together we will schedule our sessions accordingly.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am certified through NASM and received a bachelors degree at Sonoma state university where I played baseball for my last two years of college. My focus was in kinesiology, exercise sciences. Since graduating I put my time and focus into programming for athletes and general population clients. I received a corrective exercise certification through National Academy of Sports Medicine and became a Pain Free Performance coach under Dr. John Rusin. I am an independent contractor who has completed over 10,000 sessions.
