There is so much to learn and DeAnna explains patiently and thoroughly. Safety for every aspect and the why of every action. DeAnna is a gifted teacher.
DeAnna was patient and supportive of my learning process. She followed a progression that allowed my comfort level to grow with my skills. She went over important items in each lesson, using repetition to help me gain confidence and learn.
Had no horse riding experience prior to my lessons and after a couple lessons, I got more confident in my skills and with the horse. The instructor is very patient and goes over any concerns you might have prior or while riding and feel like her teaching style is very understandable. I felt like we advanced my skills after each lesson and that they were very productive. I also had some time to ride freely which was a nice bonus just to build my confidence with the horse. We started lessons from safety rules and grooming to advancing all the way to trotting now. The horse (Strydor) seemed a little intimidating at first because of his height and because I didn’t have any prior horse interactions, however by the second time I was on him, he made me feel more comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed my lessons with Deanna and can’t wait to continue.
I learned so much about horses and riding! Deanna was so thorough and patient. Learning the basics about safety with horses was a great introduction for beginners like myself and gave me more confidence as the lessons progressed.
I start by talking to the student to determine thier goals and experience level and then work toward that goal.
The first lesson is learning basic safety around the horse. Each lesson builds on the skills learned from the previous lesson at the progess of the individual.
I have been riding my whole life. I draw upon my own experiences of learning what works for me and the horse. I teach these to my students.
My rate is $40 for a private 1hr lesson.
I love to share my passion for horses and riding. I have for years enabled friends to learn and experience a bit of that love by sharing my horses and coaching them.
When a family approached me about formal lessons, it was a natural progress to further explore and share my knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm.
I truly enjoy seeing a student progress in skill and confidence and grow thier own love for horses and riding.
Meet with the instructor. Determine if thier communication style works for you. Be clear about your goals and expectations.
