Jeremy Hirschman
About
I have been teaching golf for over 12 years. I have learned and continue to learn from the best instructors across the country. Currently I am a Level 2 Plane Truth Instructor. I will help you to understand your ball flight and why the ball fly's the way it does. From there we will work on hitting the ball the ball the way you want with your individual swing.
The part I enjoy most is the interpersonal relationships I develop with my students. When the student compresses the golf ball for the first time it is truly a wonderful experience!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
There is always an interview process to begin the lesson. I want to know what the student wants, is looking for, and has done in the past. I like to watch the student hit a few balls to watch their impact and ball flight. Once I know what the student wants and what their impact and ball flight is I describe to the student what causes their current ball flight and prescribe a solution to hit the ball the way they want. My goal for each lesson is to have the student hitting ball better in 3 balls or less. This process will take approximately 20 minutes then the rest of the lesson we work on making it a repetitive motion or learn how to take it to the course!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a Certified Level 2 Plane Truth Instructor. My mentors are Jim Hardy and Chris O'Connell. They have helped me to understand and simplify ball flight. I am able to apply the knowledge I learned from them to all levels of golfers.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

How did you get started teaching?
I have been a PGA professional for 15 years. I have worked in the golf shop as an assistant professional and Head Professional but I have always gravitated towards teaching. I would attend conferences and shadow some of the best instructors in the country. In 2010, I became a certified Plane Truth Instructor and I have loved my job everyday more and more since then.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students. I currently hold clinics for beginner ladies and juniors. I also teach many advanced golfers including our men's club champion and ladies club champion.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
In April of 2016 NCPGA held a teaching competition for golf professionals. We were given two hours to work with a student then we went on the course and played 18 holes. Their net score determined which teacher wins the competition. On the range my student was hitting the ball all over the place. We decided to eliminate one side of the course and determined to eliminate the left side because he hated the hook so much. On the course my student went on to have 3 natural birdies and shoot a net 69 to win!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When looking for a teacher to hire I would look for someone who can help right away. You are spending a lot of money and the teacher should be able to correct your ball flight and impact before you leave. You are taking lessons to play the game better, not have a better looking swing.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should think about all areas of their game and what is their weakest. They should also think about what shot in golf they dislike the most, meaning if they never hit that shot again, they would be a happy camper.
