Walt is a USGTF "MASTER " Golf Teaching Professional® with 21 years of experience. Walt has been named a TOP 100 INSTRUCTOR by the World Golf Teachers Federation for 2016,17,18,19 He is an accomplished player, having won the World Golf Teachers Cup and United States Golf Teachers Cup® in 2007 (Super Seniors division) and 2011 (Legends division), the 2008 Transbay Invitational, and the inaugural USGTF Southwest Region Championship (Super Seniors and Legends divisions) in March 2014. Walt was also runner-up in the 2013 United States Golf Teachers Cup®. Walt has been the Varsity Golf coach at Athenian High for the past 9 years leading the team to 6 League Championships as well as 6 post season tournaments. He has also coached 5 League MVP's during that time. Teaching players of all levels from beginning juniors to senior golfers as well as accomplished players. Instruction covers all aspects of the golf game including: Full Swing Short Game Sand Play Course Management and VIDEO is provided for all lesson Packages

Walt is an excellent instructor. He understands the golf swing and adaptsa swing to your body type. Walt is a good technician with a feel personality. Walt is also excellent at developing confidence in his students. Walt helps build the mechanics but allows for you ability to perform them. Walts best ability is short game instruction. I continually recommend Walt to my friends.

I watched Walt practicing in between students at the range and saw him consistently put 150 yard shots into an area the size of a beach blanket. I wanted to be able to do the same buy my fear was that he would try to restructure my entire swing which would take months/years to complete. After the first lesson I was shown several little things I was doing and how to easily correct them. They made all the difference in the world. Walt also talks to you about course management and other tricks to lower your scores. He listens to you and asks what you would like to improve on and then directs his training toward those specific points....he does NOT try to take you back to scratch. I highly recommend Walt as a person who can improve your on course scoring.

Walt simplified my swing, making me more accurate and much more consistent. His method of teaching includes understanding your swing and based on certain aspects of the swing, what the outcome will be. Also, he preaches course management and the mental aspect of the game. How to approach working on your game at the range, and how to approach playing a course...two totally different mind sets. Walt teaches not only the swing, but chipping, sand and putting. A full compliment of the entire golf universe. He is an excellent teacher and coach and it does not matter what gender, whether you are a beginner or a low handicapper, you will benefit from taking lessons from Walt.
