Blake P. says, "Isis was AMAZING! Meeting me exactly at my level, she allowed me to go deep into grammar and vocabulary while keeping things light and interesting. I was constantly amazed at her knowledge about the background of the grammar and use of certain expressions. I really loved every session we had together. She’s not only a native speaker but a expert on the “why” you use certain words — which helps so much when you’re trying to reach fluency. I felt like she taught me Spanish the way that a native speaker would learn. It was really really cool. 5 stars all around. " Read more

I started teaching when I was 15. Yes, it was a hobby business, but the kids and parents loved it. At that time it was only horseback riding. More serious it became in 2007, when I started it as a professional side business. I tought from young (the youngest kids were 4) to old. My oldest student who I teach the accordion is 83 years old. I teach and always tought business people, from reagular emplyee to managers and executive in business and marketing as well as German for some of my clients who work and travel overseas. Teaching and tutoring was always more than just a job, I truly enjoy giving experience to studens and clients and they ...

Brian G. says, "Lloyd is a friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating teacher. While I started out with him with the intention of brushing up my guitar playing, I switched to bass lessons after about six months. Within a few more months, I felt as though I had grown enough as a musician to be comfortable performing to live audiences with bands. Lloyd takes a holistic approach when teaching students while also tailoring the material to the individual goals of each. When I learned a new scale, we spent as much time on theory as we did on shapes and intervals. He treats the "why" of a concept or technique the same as the "how". In my case, at least, I felt as though I knew more about music and could speak about it credibly with other musicians as a result. When I switched to bass, he was encouraging and as knowledgeable about bass playing techniques as he was about guitar solos and diminished chords. It also bears mentioning that Lloyd is understanding of the fact that music lessons are a hobby or luxury and that other demands on one's time sometime take priority over a scheduled meeting. I have a dynamic work schedule and he has always been extremely accommodating in either rescheduling lessons or doing them remotely. Finally, lessons with Lloyd are priced extremely reasonably for Los Angeles. This was the most important factor to me when I was looking for a teacher and was ready to treat Lloyd with skepticism ("is there a good reason he's so affordable?") but he has provided instruction as good or better than any other teacher I have had." Robert A. says, "During or first lesson Puja was immediately able to provide me with a framework for approaching a role in a film that required a lot of thought and action as well as dialogue. I look forward to more lessons to enrich my depth as an actor, to allow me to be the character and the character to be me - to be free in my approach as well as to work within the excellent structure that Puja provides." Sandy H. says, "My daughters have been taking piano lessons from Tysa for 2 years now and both have greatly improved because they enjoy learning from her. We've had a few piano teachers over the years and Tysa is the first piano teacher that I don't have to struggle to ask the girls to practice. They just practice on their own and I think is because Tysa makes it fun and the girls look forward to their lessons....so much that they have taken up learning other instruments from her, such as guitar and ukulele. Tysa has a very unique and creative way of connecting with her students. I've recommended Tysa to a few friends and they all love her and we do too! " Read more

Chris S. says, "I am an older guy who has actually been playing guitar since my teens. But like many, I didn't play much at all throughout most of my life. Got back into it a few years ago, and decided to get serious about upgrading my skills. Sort of an old dog learning some new tricks. Randy is a great teacher! He is patient and perceptive. He doesn't just regurgitate a formulaic set of lessons, but he really looked at the skills I already had, then tailored his instruction to build on that. He showed me several techniques that were superior to what I had been doing, and designed a practice regimen that targets my particular goals. I'm already playing MUCH better, and it's only been four weeks. And I feel like there is great potential progress in my future. Randy Garcia is an excellent choice if you want guitar instruction!" My daughter really enjoyed having classes with Manny. She is only 11 years old but she was interested in taking sign language classes because she is hoping one day being a teacher and help kids.

She's an excellent teacher. Very well organized classes/materials with fun activities so it doesn't get tedious (there was never a boring class with her!) She also explains to you until you get it and makes sure that you really know the stuff before moving on. In addition, she is a native Spanish speaker from South America so she really knows the language in and out. On top of that, she is very understanding, supportive, patient and sweet. She's just such a great person in general. I loved my Spanish classes with her and I just love her as a person too!!

Tysa is a wonderful and happy teacher. My two girls (9 & 8 Years old) loved seeing her each week. She was able to balance teaching them how to read music and teaching them how to play by ear. They also loved that she would have them play songs that they liked - from pop to country. We would highly recommend Tysa!
