About

Golf instruction at Angeles National Golf Course. My focus is to make a players swing more efficient though better mechanics which will lead to better ball striking and lower scores.I've been trained by world class teaching professionals so I can offer the best experience to my students in the Los Angeles area. I also truly enjoy working on the the short game by teaching effective chipping, pitching, bunker play and putting techniques.

I use Trackman, Boditrak, and K-vest to evaluate a students swing and correct tendencies that don't fit their particular pattern. Students will have the ability to self correct on the course and learn how to practice effectively. The student will also receive a video analysis covering the topics of the lesson. I use a wide variety of drills and feedback to help students learn fast.

I enjoy helping students improve their golf game. I've played in professional mini tour events and still enjoy competing in tournaments when I have the time. My lowest score is a 64 on a par 72 course. I hope to break that barrier in the near future. I find joy in helping golfers fix swing faults that have plagued them their whole lives. I also enjoy helping juniors learn the game for the first time, or prepare them make the high school or college golf team.

David is an extraordinary teacher. He has significantly helped me with my golf swing, obliterating years of incorrect moves. He is methodical in teaching and is capable of feeding you all the intricacies required for a proper swing in bite size bits. I’d highly recommend David. You will not regret it.

Daves attitude, friendliness and knowledge is unparalleled. Whether hes working with me, an improving 15 handicapper or my daughter a 9 year old wiz. His humor, patience and kindness is such a joy to work with. Hes a real student of the swing and the game and offers technical advice as well as feel drills. Whether adult or junior Dave can tailor the lessons to satisfy every need. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Davids understanding of the golf swing is exceptional and based on fundamentals. His passion for coaching and desire to gain more knowledge about the golf swing has, in my opinion helped him become one of the futures great golf coaches. He has helped me lower my scores from in the 90s to in the 70s and hopefully lower. He is a fantastic teacher for both men and women of all ages and skill levels and can help you shoot your lowest score, no doubt. Whether youre a high handicapper who wants to hit more fairways and greens or a low handicapper looking to win competitions. Matt

I am an intermediate level golfer. I am extremely pleased with our first meeting and lesson. David was both professional and personable. He identified in a respectful and honest manner issues I had with my current game, and reminded me regularly throughout the lesson that we were targeting only those things initially that were basic to making better contact with better results. He said he did not want to overwhelm or confuse me with additional information or other things to work on for the current lesson. It is important for me to state that I immediately had positive results, and these results immediately were noticeable playing golf! I highly recommend David for his obvious knowledge and skill at transferring both of these to the student; in a results oriented way, and for his commonsense and no pressure approach.

Frequently asked questions

First lesson is an analysis of a players swing. I find the root cause of their problems and attack that area first. I also find out what areas need the most work and address any goals the student may have.

I have been trained by some of the best golf instructors in the world. I spent 4 years studying with Mac O Grady at his Morad Golf Schools. Mac taught me how to analyize and correct swing faults which immedialty helped the game of my students. I also have learned from Shawn Callahan at the Buch Harmon School of Golf, George Gankus, Dana Dalhquist, and Scott Cowx. I attend biomechanics seminars and teacher certification programs several times a year.  It's an exciting time for golf instruction because technology is starting to reveal what the best players are actually doing and I can relate that to my clients. I think its important for instructors to stay educated and open minded.  One can never stop learning in this game. There is no one correct way to swing a golf club. I dont beileve in teaching a system or a cookie cutter approach to golf instruction. I have also played golf professionally and I know what it takes to perform at the highest levels of the game.

I have several teachng certifications and I am a Callaway Univeristy Certified Fitter and Product Specialist. I also have a B.S. In Business Mangement from Purdue University.

1hr lessons are 150per hour.  I also offer lesson packages to suit individual needs.

I started playing golf when I was 6 years old. My first job at 15 was at a golf course. I played professional golf and mini tour events before I started teaching full time.  I decided I was better off teaching the game as I had a passion for it. I wanted to know why I wasn't swinging the club and striking the ball the way I had hoped to. My search has lead me to become a better player than I was before.

I work with all ages from juniors to seniors. I have Jr. students that compete at the highest level of AJGA and IMG World Championships. I teach professionals, competitive amateurs, and recreational players from beginner to advanced.
