Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I ask questions about experience and goals/desires. I always focus on what the student is really looking to achieve so I can adapt to them. I am skilled in communication to help students improve and have fun with the game.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education has come from years of teaching private lessons and kids camps at Nibley Park and Mountain Dell golf course. I also have training from the PGA of America.
I also studied kinesiology; this is crucial for teaching proper form and sequencing for the golf swing.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard pricing is 85.00 per lesson (includes range balls).
How did you get started teaching?
My teaching career started at Nibley Park, SLC, Utah. (1999) My passion is helping people and understanding different ways people learn. I also studied kinesiology to understand biomechanics, this has helped me adapt to different students and their abilities. I am driven by seeing my students improve and enjoy golf.
What types of students have you worked with?
Everything from the First Tee (inner city youth) to people with disabilities. My specialty is private and group lessons. I have taught everything from beginners to seniors.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I love all the fitness and teaching seminars from the pga of america and the titelist performance institute.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
