About

I am a very experienced dressage instructor and specialize in teaching students to get their horses correctly on the aides and develop a harmonious relationship that is based on classical training and philosophy.

All levels and disciplines are welcome.

I give ride test clinics and also teach western dressage.

My resume is quite long to list here.

I am also competing my horse Electra very successfully.

Please note however that I do not have school horses, I do not teach children under 10 and do not lead trail rides.

I loved teaching and seeing students experiencing those "light bulb" moments

I also love to see the horse become more beautiful and happy through correct training

l love helping people with their freestyles

Mainly I love horses ❤

Dolly is incredibly experienced, knowledgeable and fun! She helped me achieve my upper level dressage goals at a pace that worked for me and my horse!! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a solid education in dressage that is positive for both horse and rider.

Dolly Hannon is a superb instructor. She has a true talent for teaching both horses and riders. Dolly is quickly able to observe and dissect the riders movement, position, and aids and the impacts of those components on the communication between horse and rider. My favorite thing about riding with Dolly is she always honest in her assessments, but invariably kind and clear in her delivery. She has been unbelievably patient with me while I fine tune the basics in dressage, and works with me and my event horse on connection and throughness always with the aim that solid flat work will build toward better jumps. Shes truly a joy to ride with!

Ive been training regularly with Dolly for 2 years and its been an excellent experience. She is very patient and rewarding when deserved and a lot of productive constructive criticism with many options in different exercises for you to get the point shes trying to make. If theres any negative, I would say sometimes shes a bit too kind. As I watch her teach others, sometimes I think, why isnt she tougher? Which makes me think shes not tough enough on me. I ALWAYS look forward to our lessons and am ever learning and my horse has become an upper level dressage horse under her tutelage. I HIGHLY recommend her if you are into working hard, listening and driven to improve to be the best you and your horse can be!
